THE LIGHTSPEED
The Lightspeed Organic Overdrive is a very natural sounding overdrive. Why "organic"? Well, simply put, it's the clearest, most natural feeling, and best overdrive we've heard for the player looking for a natural drive tone. Blending with the tone of the guitar and amplifier, this pedal has rich harmonics and complex but smooth clipping. The Lightspeed Overdrive is sensitive to pick attack and has a different "feel" than other overdrives. The Lightspeed can be set to be "transparent," but can also drive your signal to the edge.

BLACK MOUNTAIN
Looming large, like the towering behemoths of full stacks of yore, the Black Mountain Crunch Drive roars to life, bringing new dimensions of vintage tone to guitarists (and bass players, too!). This new crunch based drive is rooted in a tone quest for the sound of one particular recording of a crunchy British amp, but it has flexibility beyond just that sound. From simply adding crunch, to getting that famous midrange snarl and growl of those metal panel amps that came out just after the plexi era, the Black Mountain Crunch Drive gives up the goods in a way that has a natural, amp like crunch to it. This circuit was inspired by many conversations with many friends, and developed with The Darkness’ album Permission to Land blasting in the background…it’ll get ya there, if you want it to. The two clipping diodes responsible for the drive in this circuit are purposefully imbalanced, selected to impart the proper texture and crunch for this circuit.

What is now known as Greer Amplification, began in 1998. We started out making pedals for friends, and ourselves, but somehow the word got out, and as a result the demand for our products increased. I don't think we quite knew what we were getting into, but I'm glad we did. The same amount of detail and care goes into building each item we send out of the shop, whether it be our simplest pedal or our most complex amplifier. We know what it is like to be a working musician. We know what is it like to have to depend on gear night after night. That's why we overbuild every product we make.
